Fertilize the Imagination
Aside from the occasional piece of representational work most of the recent output draws heavily on the fertile collective unconscious for content. This working method generates a body of authentic material whose starting point is the chaos associated with cosmological beginnings, the ‘primordial soup’. As an aspect of the mind’s propensity to pattern recognition and almost irresistable urge to liken sense data to already received shapes and concepts (it’s like...), formless beginnings slowly develop into art works which with careful attention can crystalise and like in a dream reveal meanings and relationships. And like dreaming these works are able to generate a de facto narrative of personal and sometimes more general significance and meaning.
